All of our clients will go through phase 1 & phase 2 before initiating process improvement projects. It is only by understanding the context of the business and its environment can we truly make an impact on the organization and its customers. As our relationship grows, most clients will remain in Phase 3, and we will re-evaluate certain aspects of phase 1 and phase 2, as needed.
Phase 1 - YOUR BUSINESS’ Storyboard
Learn the “WHY” about the organization - WHY is the business in existence? WHY do you and your management team get up each morning to keep it going?
Voice of the Business (VOB) - Learn about internal and external objectives, discuss leadership issues and struggles, and analyze how the business is growing
Voice of the Customer (VOC) - From the business’ perspective, review what customers are looking for and expect from the organization
Voice of the Employees (VOE) - Gain a basic understanding of how employees feel about the organization and its current processes through confidential interviews
General study of your market - Gain a basic understanding of financial health, market competitiveness, economic volatility, peer-review scores (Yelp®, Google, etc.), and business systems
PHASE 2 - MAP PROCESSES, KPI’s, & AOO’s
Voice of the Process (VOP) - Analysis of how the business currently functions through detailed mapping of processes
Voice of the Customer (VOC) - From the customer’s perspective, review what customers are looking for and expect from the organization through confidential interviews
Voice of the Data (VOD) - Identify Key Performance Indicators (KPIs). Evaluate how business systems enable or restrict business agility
Identify Areas of Opportunity (AOO) - Develop a list of AOOs (bottlenecks, poor performance, gaps, overlaps, etc.)
Prioritize AOOs - Prioritize based on impacts to KPIs and benefits to the organization
PHASE 3 - Initiate Projects
All projects are well defined and agreed upon before initiation
Core-process re-engineering projects will follow a Six Sigma methodology. Most projects can complete in 4-6 weeks. More complex projects can take longer
Sub-processes & Biz-Processes may not require in-depth analysis and improvement. Such projects can complete in 2-4 weeks
Projects are finalized by creating a means to monitor and control improvements
PHASE 4 - SELF-Directed project
The goal is to teach the organization how to plan & execute its own process improvement projects
Allazo will oversee the “last” project that will be managed by the company
